Located in north-eastern France near the confluence of the Moselle and Meurthe rivers, the commune of Frouard is noted for its Medieval mill. Although it was latterly known as a steel industry centre, today it serves mainly as an inland port and a key rail and waterway node on the French Waterway Network.
