Wunsiedel (German pronunciation: [ˈvʊnˌziːdl̩] ; Northern Bavarian: Wåuṉsieḏl or Wousigl) is the seat of the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel in northeast Bavaria, Germany. The town is the birthplace of poet Jean Paul.
