Chooz is a French commune in the Ardennes, but its name also refers to the Chooz Nuclear Power Plant. That reactor served as a neutrino source for the Chooz experiment, a physics project, and its successor, Double Chooz, is currently ongoing. So one small place connects a local community with international particle physics research.
