LandmarkVoigt-Denkmal
Érigé en 1887 à l'initiative des habitants de Mittweida, ce mémorial saxon rendait hommage à Ernst Voigt, maire de la ville de 1875 à 1881 et figure politique libérale-nationale. Bien plus qu'un simple monument politique, cette œuvre saluait surtout la vision urbanistique de l'édile, qui fut le véritable instigateur de la création des superbes parcs entourant l'étang des cygnes (*Schwanenteich*). Aujourd'hui disparu, cet hommage citoyen perpétuait le souvenir d'un dirigeant profondément ancré dans le cœur de ses administrés pour avoir transformé le paysage vert de leur commune.
