Inhabitants of Bieuzy are known as Bieuzyates, a friendly demonym tied to this former commune in Brittany's Morbihan department. The community also carries the Breton name Bizhui-an-Dour. On 1 January 2019, Bieuzy ceased to be a commune in its own right when it merged into the new commune of Pluméliau-Bieuzy.
