Si ce monument classé a tragiquement failli disparaître dans un incendie en 2004 à la suite d'années d'abandon, ses vestiges ont été habilement intégrés au nouveau Centre Burns, ouvert en 2009. Étonnant clin d'œil architectural, ce complexe moderne a même été nommé en 2010 pour la prestigieuse et redoutée *Carbuncle Cup*, un prix satirique désignant les pires réalisations architecturales du Royaume-Uni.

Howard Park is a public park in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. It was previously known as Barbadoes Green. The roots of Kilmarnock Football Club may be traced back to the park. Lady's Walk in the park commemorates the grief-stricken walks taken by the young widow of the Earl of Kilmarnock, who was sentenced to be hanged, drawn and quartered in London in 1746.

Niché au cœur de l'Écosse, cet historique stade de football accueille les fervents supporters du Kilmarnock FC depuis la fin du XIXe siècle, plus précisément depuis 1899. Véritable place forte du sport écossais, cette enceinte de première division a vu fouler sa pelouse par des générations de footballeurs passionnés. Fait insolite pour une enceinte de ce niveau, le lieu doit son nom surprenant à ses origines : le club résident y pratiquait initialement le rugby à ses débuts, avant d'abandonner le ballon ovale pour le football et de s'y implanter durablement.
