SevärdhetAbbey Vocational School
The Abbey Vocational School (also known as the AVS or the 'Tech'; Scoil na Mainistreach in Irish) (formerly known as the Donegal Technical School) is a non-denominational vocational secondary school situated in Donegal, County Donegal, Ireland. It has approximately 900 students, and is the largest school run by the Donegal Education and Training Board. The school is located on the outskirts of the town and is named after the 15th-century Franciscan friary (commonly referred to as an Abbey), the ruins of which lie a few hundred metres from the school.

Das Kloster Donegal (englisch Donegal Friary, irisch Mainistir Dhún na nGall) wurde von Aodh Ruadh Ó Domhnaill und seiner Frau Nuala O’Brien 1474 als Haus der reformierten Franziskaner gegründet, nachdem die Gründung von seiner Mutter Nuala O’Conor kurz vor ihrem Tod vorbereitet worden war. Das Kloster liegt etwas südlich des Ortszentrums von Donegal in der Nähe des Hafens unmittelbar am Ufer der Donegal Bay.

Donegal Castle (irisch Caisleán Dhún na nGall) ist eine Burg (Tower House) im Zentrum der Stadt Donegal in der gleichnamigen Grafschaft in Irland. Den größten Teil der letzten beiden Jahrhunderte lag die Burg in Trümmern, Anfang der 1990er Jahre wurde sie teilweise wiederaufgebaut. Die Burg besteht aus einem Donjon aus dem 15. Jahrhundert mit rechteckigem Grundriss und einem später angebauten Gebäudetrakt im jakobinischen Stil.

SevärdhetDonegal Railway Heritage Centre
The Donegal Railway Heritage Centre commemorates the operations of the County Donegal Railways Committee which operated two narrow-gauge railways in County Donegal from 1863 until 1959. The County Donegal Railway Restoration Society restored the centre, which opened in 1995 and is housed in the old station house of Donegal Railway Station in Donegal Town. Today, it operates as a visitor attraction comprising a museum, information centre and shop.
